Our topic for the second half of the Autumn term 2022 is Christmas is coming. This time of the year is a magical experience in school and we look forward to supporting our pupils to experience how the celebration looks for each of us, through different types of play, sensory stories, songs, creative based tasks, role play and outdoor learning.

Wonderful Wales!

This term our topic is 'Wonderful Wales' where we will be learning and exploring things all about our country Wales and everything that makes Wales wonderful! In Dosbarth Enfys we will be encouraging exploring and playing using all of our senses throughout the school day such as in Sensory Stories and Attention Autism. We will also be celebrating events such as Shrove Tuesday, St Patricks Day and Easter!

Chinese New Year!

This week Dosbarth Enfys have been learning about Chinese New Year and the year of the tiger. We have been exploring our senses in a sensology session where we got to smell, feel, touch, taste and hear things relating to Chinese New Year, we loved tasting the prawn crackers and exploring different items of clothing!

Saint Dwynwens Day, Splash Pool and Soft Play!!

What a busy week in Dosbarth Enfys! At the start of the week some of us finally got to go into the splash pool for the first time, we celebrated Saint Dwynwens Day where we all were engaged in Attention Autism, made love heart jam tarts and enjoyed some love themed activities. During outside play we've been looking at how we can keep warm by wearing warm clothes. We had lots of fun in Soft Play for the first time this year as well as having a great boogie in Music with Andy.

Week 4

World Religion Week!

This week Dosbarth Enfys have been looking Buddhism! We have been exploring the story 'The Monkey King' where we have looked at the feelings of the characters (and tasty some juicy mango!). In Attention Autism we listened to some calm meditation music whilst watching a colourful mandala being made, after that we made our own symmetrical mandalas choosing our own colours. To end the week we looked at lots of different religions music, played instruments to follow the beat and had a dance!
